¿Que es una liposucción o lipoescultura?
Liposuction or lipoplasty, is a surgical procedure that achieves a remodeling of the silhouette by extraction of fat or adipose tissue from various body sites using a syringe or cannula connected to a suction machine, this can be assisted with laser and ultrasound
How is the procedure performed?
It can be performed with sedation combined with local anesthesia, with spinal blockade, or under general anesthesia. The duration of the procedure depends on how many areas are going to be treated.
We use different cannulae, which have different thickness to suck the fat. Previously a special solution is infiltrated to diminish any possible bleeding and makes the fat aspiration easier. Incisions are very small, and are done in parts of the body that are covered by underwear, after some time they are hardly visible. It is normal that some bruises appear after the surgery, but these should disappear in approximately 7 to 10 days.
Postoperative
The use of a bandage for 4 weeks is recommended to help the skin adapt to its new shape. After a couple of days of partial rest, the patient gradually will go back to normal activity. Lymphatic drainage is recommended to start the week after surgery, to remove the inflammation sooner.
This is a safe procedure that leaves patients very satisfied, because of the quality of the results.
What is Lipoinjection?
Lipoinjection is considered one of the procedures that improve the body contour.
The advantage it offers is that the fat used in the procedure is of the same person, which makes it safer, because there is no risk of rejection or encapsulment The obtained fat is prepared and then injected in the deep levels of the skin using special cannulae. With this we achieve, to restore or increase the volume of the injected areas. As time passes it is possible that 20 to 30% of the injected fat can be reabsorbed, but the other percentage stays in a permanent way
The fat is an ideal filling for defects or places where the skin has sunk because of traumatism or burns, also to give volume to the gluteus, as a filling for facial wrinkles and lips.
How is the procedure performed?
This procedure is much more comfortable and safe for the patient when it is done under general anesthesia. The time of surgery will depend on how much fat and anatomical individual patient characteristics. Usually the time shall be two to four hours as always combined with liposuction.
Postoperative
During the first 5 days you should avoid sitting or sleeping face down. The return to the sports or recreational activities will be approximately 1 or 2 months keeping in consider the use of sunscreen. However work activities can be restarted in such a short period like 5 days depending on the evolution.
The inflammation of the areas suctioned lasts a few weeks, however it is important to know that the final shape of the buttocks and the rest of the body where liposuction is performed properly may evidence after three postoperatively months.
The patient will wear a special belt for a time that is usually 3 months.
Tummy-Tuck Or Abdominalplasty
Abdominalplasty is a surgical procedure designed to eliminate excess skin and fat tissue of the middle and lower abdomen, also a tightening of the abdominal muscles is done.
The abdominal flabbiness is a characteristic in women who have had several pregnancies or persons who have suffered an important weight lose. Stretch marks are also common. We should emphasize that stretch marks and flabbiness can not be eliminated by exercising; surgery is the only real effective way to get rid of them.
How is the procedure performed?
An incision is done in the lower abdomen, so that in the future it is covered by the underwear. The abdominal skin is lifted, but previously the navel is liberated. Then the abdominal muscles are sutured in their natural position, obtaining a flat abdomen. The abdominal skin is stretched and the excess skin and fat tissue are removed. The navel is put in place in its new position and the incisions are sutured. Finally the patient is bandaged.
Postoperative
Surgery can be performed under general anesthesia or spinal blockade. The duration of the procedure is from 2 to 3 hours. It’s recommendable that patients stay the first night in our medical center, where are staff can take care of them. The next day we advise our patients to start walking, avoiding any activity that requires effort. As normal inflammation diminishes little by little, the patient will be able to do more activities. Scars are covered by the underwear and with time they will have a favorable evolution. Patients are very satisfied with this surgery, because of the dramatic changes they experience, a flat abdomen and a figure with better proportions.
This procedure is indicated in patients with little abdominal flab that can not be corrected by liposuction, therefore an amount of dermograso tissue is removed compared with a conventional tummy tuck, and navel is not changed, leaving a much shorter scar, similar to that of CS.
A procedure which removes excess skin and fat from the arms, eliminating sagging thereof, is an outpatient surgery means that the patient goes home the same day with a bandage and recovery is in about a week .
It is a modified technique by Dr. Daniel Blum G using local anesthesia that decreases the size of the areola and breast lifts slightly giving it a look of a younger breast. It is a procedure that takes 30 minutes and is carried out in minor surgery..
What is Breast augmentation?
Breast augmentation surgery is, with out a doubt, one of the most frequent cosmetic procedures done in these days. It’s the surgery of choice for women who consider their breast too small, have lost weight, have nursed their babies, or simply, because of normal aging their breast have lost volume, changed shape or dropped.
This surgery consists of placing silicon implants under the mammary tissue. These implants in the majority of cases are filled with a cohesive gel, although, there are also some filled with saline solution, which will be used depending of the surgeon’s criteria and the choice of the patient.
Something very important to be considered is that after numerous studies done around the world, it has been clearly demonstrated that there is no scientific evidence which can prove that the breast implants have any relationship with breast cancer. What breast implants will accomplish is that the breasts will have more volume and improved shape, besides, as a result of being able to use different clothes styles that enhance your new figure your self- esteem also improves.
How is the procedure performed?
Almost always the surgery is performed under general anesthesia, even though; spinal blockade can be used, or also with sedation combined with local anesthesia, according to each case. The incision normally, is around the lower border of the areola, in this anatomic region the scar is well camouflaged and almost invisible. There are other options, as an incision in the inframammary crease, or under the arm, depending on what the surgeon considers best and also what the patient wants, the appropriate incision is considered. Once the implant is put in place, the incisions are closed and covered with gauze; finally, the patient is dressed with a special compressive bra.
Postoperative
The approximate time of the surgery is from 1 to 1 1/2 hours, according to each case. This is an outpatient procedure, after remaining a few hours in our recovery room; the patient can go home to rest.
After the surgery, the appearance of edemas, some bruises and a little bit of pain, are normal. All these symptoms disappear in a short time and are easily controlled with oral medicine.
The use of the special bra is recommended for about 4 weeks. The first week the movement of the arms should be limited. After this period of time the patient can return to normal activities.
Reduction Mammoplasty
The breast reduction surgery gives great satisfaction to the patients. Women, with large and dropped breasts, can relieve their problems, such as: pain, and deformities on their back, neck pain, irritated skin, and other symptoms. In this case the surgery of choice is a reduction mammoplasty, in which the surgeon reduces the size of the breasts, but at the same time he sculptures the breast to give it the best possible shape.
In many patients it’s not only the problem of dropped breasts, but also of flabbiness of the skin, this affects the shape of the breast. In these cases the ideal procedure is a mammary pexia. This is when the surgeon lifts the breast, and gives it a more pleasant shape, without drying the mammary tissue. It is also possible to combine this surgery adding breast implants, depending of the size of the breast.
Depending of the size of the breast, different techniques can be used.
One of the techniques commonly, is the classic inferior pedicule, used for large breast and with severe flabbiness. In these cases the incision surrounds the areola, it extends to the inferior inframammary crease, and then it follows the outline of the crease under the breast. If necessary, the size of the areola is reduced and the excess of glandular tissue, fat and skin is dried out. The areola is placed in a higher position and the new breast is formed.
When just a lift of the breast is done or when there isn’t excess mammary tissue, another variation of the described technique is used. In these cases the incision surrounds the areola and continues downward to the inframammary crease, but the horizontal incision is avoided. The mammary tissue is lifted to give volume to the upper part of the breast and to give it a nice conic shape
The ideal technique is decided according to the case of each patient.
Postoperative
Breast reduction and lifting surgery can be an out patient surgery, although, in some cases spending the night in our medical center, is recommendable. Normally this procedure is done under general anesthesia, especially if more than one procedure is done at the same time. In some cases, sedation combined with local anesthesia can be used in breast lifting surgery.
The duration of the surgery is approximately from 2 to 3 hours. Then the patient is dressed with a special bra, which has to be used the first weeks. It is normal to feel some pain and inflammation the first days; these symptoms are easily controlled with analgesics.
We recommend that strong movements should be avoided the first week, after this period of time the patient can return little by little to normal activity.
Buttock implants
The buttock implants surgery is ideal for persons who wish to increase and improve the shape of this part of the body. The implants used are especially designed for this purpose. They can have a round or oval shape. The surgeon will decide which is more appropriate for each case.
It can be performed with spinal blockade or general anesthesia. The procedure is an out patient procedure, and the implants are placed under the muscle, through an incision of about 7 cm (less than 3 inches), on the crease under the gluteus, the incision is covered in this area, and is hardly perceptible.
How is the procedure performed?
The implantation procedure can be performed upon a patient who is either sedated or anaesthetized, either under general anaesthesia or under local anaesthesia. The usual operating-room time for a buttocks augmentation procedure is approximately 2 hours; and the medical procedure can be managed either as an overnight in-patient treatment, or as a hospital outpatient treatment. Given the nature of the surgical incisions to the gluteus maximus muscles, the therapeutic management of post-surgical pain (at the surgical-wound sites) and normal tissue-healing usually require a 4-6-week convalescence, after which, the patient resumes his or her normal-life activities
Postoperative
It is important to follow the right surgeon for postoperatively. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed, and relative rest of 5 days is recommended.
Breast reconstruction
The breast reconstruction after breast removal (mastectomy) cancer is one of the most rewarding surgical procedures for plastic surgery patient. The development of new medical techniques and materials allow the plastic surgeon to create a breast similar in shape, texture and features a breast op.
So, breast reconstruction aims to:
How is the procedure performed?
Breast reconstruction in all its procedures are always performed under general anesthesia. However, any adjustment or revision can be performed under local anesthesia and intravenous sedation. The following techniques:
Your body image and self-esteem may improve after your reconstruction surgery, but this is not always the case. Some women are not happy with how the reconstructed breast looks and feels after surgery, and there may be concerns about the flap or donor sites too. You and those close to you must know what to expect from reconstruction.
There are often many options to think about as you and your doctors talk about what’s best for you. The reconstruction process often means one or more operations. Talk about the benefits and risks of reconstruction with your doctors before the surgery is planned. Give yourself plenty of time to make the best decision for you. You should make your decision about breast reconstruction only after you are fully informed.
Postoperative
You must have one month to the post-surgical recovery after breast reconstruction. The breast reconstruction does not recover the natural sensitivity of the breast. Over time the scars are dissipating but never entirely disappear.
Calf Implants
Procedures calf augmentation patients can help improve the appearance and contour of your legs through the use of silicone implants. This procedure improves the shape of the calf, leg corrects very thin and give contour to the calf
How is the procedure performed?
The surgery is performed under local or general anesthesia. An incision of approximately 4 cm is made in the fold on the back of the knee. A pocket is created and then a silicone implant in a specific way that natural look is placed.
Postoperative
After surgery, the patient should rest for two to three days, then walking shoes with heels for a week. The patient resume his activities about month. The patient will also wrap gauze over the incision site for seven days.
After the gauze is removed, then the patient will wear compression garments for up to five weeks. Any pain or discomfort the patient may feel that can be reduced through medication.
What is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty, or plastic surgery of the nose, is one of the most common procedures in plastic surgery. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of the nose, change the form of the tip of the nose of the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between the nose and the upper lip. It also can correct birth defects or an injury, or can help respiratory problems
Rhinoplasty can improve your appearance and self-confidence, but, perhaps you will not reach your ideal appearance, and it can not make people treat you differently. “My advice to my patients is that they should think carefully about their expectations, and we talk them over”, the specialist tells us. The best candidates for rhinoplasty are the persons who wish to improve their appearance, not to make it perfect. If you are in good health, physically and mentally, if your expectations are realistic, then you could be a good candidate.
How is the procedure performed?

Postoperative
After 24 hours of surgery symptoms will disappear gradually. After the first month, the anatomy of the nose will begin taking new shape.
Do not worry about the appearance of your nose the first day since it hinchada.Para that the operation will end up being a success, you must follow the foot of the letter the recommendations given.
CO2 Laser Facial
It is a new generation laser CO2 fractional ultrapulsed and allows comprehensive facial rejuvenation, restoring sun signs and chronological aging.
Allows the treatment of superficial wrinkles, medium and deep and stain removal. Remove the top layer of skin (epidermis) and causes a contraction of the deep layers of the skin (dermis) of up to 30% with the consequent improvement of sagging.
How is the procedure performed?
The renovation of photodamaged skin by CO2 laser uses a rapidly pulsed CO2 laser to ablate the epidermal surface with its subsequent renewal and cause residual thermal damage in the dermis causing a remarkable neosynthesis of collagen (LSFR: Laser fractional skin Resurfacing).
Moreover, also demonstrated the efficiency of topical anesthesia EMLA (Eutectic Mixture of Local Anesthethics, lidocaine and prilocaine) as not only anesthetic, but also as a protective agent for skin hydration and protection provocada.Con this preoperative analgesia, a simple pass with energies adjusted according to the thickness of the dermis in treatment, have shown singular efficiency and safety in the face and neck rejuvenation.
Postoperative
The recovery time requires patience, because it may take up to 6 months for the redness disappears. Before resuming work activities will have to wait for 2-3 weeks and also should be used alone effective protection for 6 months to 1 year.
The results depend on the type of procedure: a greater depth will be longer lasting but it is worth remembering that this does not stop aging.
What is Blefaroplasty?
Blefaroplasty, is a facial rejuvenating procedure, which gives great satisfaction. As years go by the skin of the upper eyelids tend to drop and the fat bags of the lower eyelid become evident. This makes the patient look “tired” and it’s a sign of aging. With surgery the excess skin is eliminated and the fat is dried out and redistributed according to each case. What we achieve with this is to give a younger appearance and the eyes seem to have a fresher look.
How is the procedure performed?
The surgery is performed under local anesthesia plus sedation. The procedure takes about an hour. No bandage put simply wet gauze.
Postoperative
This is an outpatient procedure. Some small bruises can appear, but should last only approximately 5 to 7 days. We recommend the use of sun glasses the first weeks, to protect the area from the sun. The recovery is very fast and the results are very satisfactory.
What is Mentoplasty?
This is surgery to improve visible signs of aging of the face and neck. Over the years the muscles and skin of the face and neck begin to lose tone by gravity, this helped by heredity, loss of bone structure, sun exposure, and personal habits, resulting in the face wrinkles and deep furrows between the nose and mouth, drooping and sagging skin mainly at the neck and jaw line which is sometimes so severe that evoke the face of a bulldog.
How is the procedure performed?
By prothesis. - A prosthesis is implanted silicone or other material, of small dimensions, whose texture and hardness resembling the bone, thus preventing there is a noticeable difference between a natural chin which has been improved by a prosthesis.
By sliding osteotomy. - This intervention is most often practiced by the maxillofacial surgeon, given their greater experience in facial osteotomies. It consists of making, using an intraoral approach (no external scars) a cut on the jaw below the roots of the teeth and the dental nerve, in order to advance the chin, which is fixed with osteosynthesis material later in the preplanned position by the surgeon.
Postoperative
After surgery, particularly during the first 24 hours, their face may have a little swelling. Plan on staying in bed with your head elevated (except for going to the bathroom) for the first day.
Most of the swelling or bleeding should go away in about two weeks. (However remain for several months an inflammation, which no one can tell more than you and your surgeon). It is common for a small bleeding occurs during the first few days, and after surgery, your surgeon will also ask you to rinse your mouth with oral antiseptic to prevent infection, and to allow the tissues to recover.

Cheek implants are designed to give a natural contour to the malar exceptional. Once positioned correctly are fixed in place. The incisions inside the mouth is closed with absorbable sutures. The Cheek implant surgery usually lasts 2 to 2.5 hours, and patients can go home the same day.
Postoperative
The recovery period a malar implant surgery is quite easy. Swelling and bruising are at their worst in the third day after surgery, and usually declines within two weeks after surgery. Some patients experience no bruising.
What is Otoplasty?

Its aim is to create a natural-looking ear. An incision is made behind the ear to trim excess skin and cartilage and practiced carefully placed sutures to create folds and make small adjustments to give ear to look normal. The surgical incisions are small and the scars are almost imperceptible, once fully healed. The procedure takes about two horas.La Otoplasty is a surgery that does not require hospitalization and depending on the patient's age and preference may be performed under local or general anesthesia.

Also, a suspension of the muscles, and a suspension of the profound tissues of the face, are done; with this we achieve a more natural and durable result. It can be combined with a neck liposuction or other complementary procedures. Sedation and local anesthesia are used.
Postoperative
A stay of one day in our medical center, is recommended, to prevent hematomas. Some bruises may appear, but in 5 to 7 days will disappear.
To stop smoking from 10 to 15 days before the surgery is important, to avoid complications, as bad cicatrization or necrosis.
This is one of the most popular surgeries, because of the excellent results.
Dermabrasion (Face Peeling)
This procedure is indicated for improving acne scars, treat facial wrinkles such as perioral wrinkles, and is also useful for treating scars.
How is the procedure performed?
The procedure involves removing the top layers of the skin using a special device called dermoabrasor. Removing these surface layers, the skin regenerates and skin results in a new, young and fresh.
This is an outpatient procedure and is done under local anesthesia with sedation. It is also important to make a preliminary assessment of the skin type each patient to make adequate preparation

We use sedation and local anesthesia. The surgery is outpatient, prescribe antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. You need to wear a girdle collars for two weeks to ensure good skin retraction.
Postoperative
Liposuction of the neck has a quick recovery. The first day can be, that eliminates some fluid from the incisions, as in all liposuction. This liquid can be dyed red, being totally normal. The non-drop liquid, it should not be a concern.
It also requires the use of a tape, if possible during the first week approximately, which helps to reduce swelling, bruising and skin adjusts to its new shape.
Burns are injuries to soft tissues and adjacent structures, produced by external physical agents, chemicals, electricity, or radiation. The severity depends on the temperature of the medium that caused it and how long the victim remained exposed. Another factor is the severity of the lesion location, extent, depth, age and health status of the person.
It depends on the depth and the cause of the burn. The treatment applied shall be one or the other, but in essence it is destruction of tissue caused by an overexposure to a source of heat or chemical energy.
The main objective at the time of treatment to cure a burn is to restore the lost tissue, promoting natural regeneration of cells or using skin grafts in burn cases in which the tissue can not regenerate itself.
It is called a cleft lip or cleft lip, a congenital defect that forms a cleft or split in the upper lip.
Cleft lip is caused by incomplete fusion of the maxillary process of the embryo and nasomedial and is one of the most common birth defects (approximately constitutes 15% of congenital malformations). It was often accompanied by cleft palate presents.
For cleft lip surgery, the patient is given general anesthesia. The surgeon will trim the tissues and close the lip. Stitches will be very small so that the scar is also as small as possible. Most of the sutures will be absorbed in the tissue as scar heal, so that there will be removed later.
Most times, cleft palate repair is done when the child is older, between 3-6 months.
In cleft palate repair, the child will be given general anesthesia (asleep and pain-free). You can move the tissue palate to cover the soft palate.
Sometimes the child will need more than one surgery to close the palate. During these procedures, the surgeon may also need to repair the tip of the child's nose, rhinoplasty surgery called leporina.
Hand surgery involves reconstruction of any lost tissue in this area, and the repair of tendons, nerves and vessels usually injured by trauma.

What is la carboxiterapia?
Subcutaneous application consists of carbon dioxide (CO2 ) for therapeutic purposes . Is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure involves the injection of carbon dioxide ( CO2) into the subcutaneous tissue through the use of small injections .
How is the procedure performed?
The process involves applying localized microinjections CO2 using equipment specifically designed for this purpose. Such equipment is responsible for controlling the gas flow rate ( contained in a tank ) , the dose administered and the time of injection . The introduction of CO2 is performed subcutaneously through a fine needle to the gas coming through a flexible conduit from the computer. The gas must be anaerobic type medicinal purity 99,9 %.
The duration of a session carboxiterapia can take 30 to 60 minutes , depending on which areas are to be treated , and many of them in one sitting .
Postoperative
The general recommendation is to take all additional treatments prior to application of the carboxiterapia to help CO2 penetrates into the skin quickly and does not obstruct recovery. Especially , no immersion baths ( Jacuzzis , saunas , etc. . ) After the procedure.
Likewise, to purify the body and facilitate absorption of the gas to be ingested two to three liters of water on the day of the meeting. And of course, smoking is strictly prohibited , and that the intake of pollutants and generates difficulty breathing adverse reactions to treatment ( those with respiratory insufficiency should also abstain ) .
